1943

To fulfill a dream

During World War II, American soldiers arrived in a town in Sicily, Italy.

They gave the children chocolate, but Filippo Sindoni ordered “Pirulin,” an Italian comic from the 1940s.

It was very difficult to get, it was an “unsatisfied desire.” From this desire comes the name of the product Pirulin.

1951

Sindoni Group is born

In the early 1950s, brothers Giuseppe and Filippo Sindoni created Grupo Sindoni in the city of Maracay, Venezuela.

1975

A recipe following the Italian tradition

“The recipe” Pirulin: is a product resulting from a recipe with family and artisanal tradition.

A secret recipe from the Sindoni family. It was a difficult recipe to get.

At first the cookie broke a lot, so over a long period it was necessary to experiment with many mixtures to find the exact and perfect texture that was sought.

After much trial and error, upon arriving at the magic recipe, the Sindoni brothers say they felt the happiness they felt when the soldiers gave them the comic in Sicily in their childhood in 1930. Since then, this wonderful product across different regions and is currently marketed in more than 15 countries in America and Europe.

2016

We create magical moments with spectacular brands

Mc Donald's launches its renowned McFlurry Pirulín Chocolate flavor to the market in several Latin American countries.

The first country of launch was Venezuela, where the product became a trending topic nationwide.

The wonderful acceptance by consumers achieved an increase in McFlurry sales of one, achieving an increase of 232%, thus being the highest increase at a general level of all its products of all McDonald's Venezuela products and doubling in percentage the launch that had the greatest reach ever.

Due to the success of the joint initiatives, McDonald's classifies it as a global success story, giving way to reapplying the initiative in Colombia, Panama and the Dominican Republic.

2018

We continue creating magic with McDonalds

Seeing the success story with Pirulin Chocolate,  The McDonalds dessert portfolio is increased in alliance with Pirulin. This time from the hand of Pirulin Coco, giving way to a more tropical presentation and including the delicious Pirulin Coco flavored boat. “The recipe” Pirulin: is a product resulting from a recipe with family and artisan tradition. 2019

We create magical moments with spectacular brands

Continuing the success obtained in combination with the ice cream category, in this case we launched a delicious family-sized Pirulín ice cream on the market, from Unilever Andina, through its Tío Rico ice cream brand.

It is the first time that Unilever Andina launches an ice cream presentation on the market for the first time in alliance with a national product.

An exclusive Pirulin consumer audience is capitalized again, visualized in the increase in sales without cannibalizing the other presentations.

2020

We create harmonies with premium liquors

In search of being able to give impetus to two Premium products, thinking about new consumption occasions and accompanying our consumers at all times, the opportunity to enter the liquor companion market is capitalized.

On this occasion, the alliance was developed with the exclusive Arakú rum, a rum and coffee liquor, from the renowned Santa Teresa rum brand.  Arakú was developed to drink alone and very appropriate to consume with chocolate pairings. Who better than Pirulin chocolate to accompany it?

2022

A unique product by artisans

The new image is also accompanied by a comprehensive rebranding to reinforce the brand's Italian origins, its artisanal character, its wonderful ingredients and its main characteristics: the crunchiness of its wafer and the creaminess of its filling.

Today we launch our new brand image on the market.
